After sell-out runs in NYC and LA, we’re bringing back this NCAA bracket-style haiku-writing tournament.
How it works
Audience members offer up their topics and in two-minute creative bursts, duelers write poems before our eyes. Audience applause decides the winner and then we erupt into a raucous dance party. Winners move on to the next round until only one poet remains standing.
The grand prize?
$500 and eternal haiku glory.
What makes it so special?
1. Part slam poetry, part improv comedy, part dance party, an all around good time - we promise you this is an event unlike any you’ve experienced before!
2. Participatory and engaging - attend as an audience member or try your luck as a haiku dueler. Either way, your participation determines the outcome of the event.
3. Celebrate creativity (with a side of competition) - we believe that haiku are a conduit to creativity and connection…and a healthy splash of competition makes things even more fun! Come connect with other artists and creative minded folks.
Get your tickets now, we sell out every time.
